Our bags are laminated with cellophane over plastic. This provides a durability as protection from puncture. Heat sealing under pressure is used to close the bag. Air is removed from the bag before the sealing process. This is done to decrease the space used by the balloon effect and for aesthetic reasons. Freshness nor shelf life are compromised if the vacuum is lost.
